ALEX SEITZ

Alex was consumed by any type of craft that he could learn from a very young age. It started with visual arts; painting and drawing, but quickly moved on to a wider variety of fields. He has filled his time with woodworking, leathercraft, sewing, weaving, papercraft, sculpting, ceramics,  metalsmithing and more.

No matter what genre Alex is exploring, he finds himself constantly driven to craft. Inspiration is all around, from forms in nature like plants, fungi, and geology, to complicated mechanisms and intricate designs. Sometimes even simple things like textures, shapes, and colors are a starting point for him.

It all pushes Alex forward; encouraging exploration, experimentation, and creation. Now an Art Teacher with the Auburn School District, Alex gets to share his passions and talent with the next generation.
