K Lobdell, a Pacific Northwest artist, uses a special combination of paints, wax and additional media to create luscious nature-inspired wallscapes.
Painted Lady is part of a collection of butterflies that were created with layers of encaustic wax, ink, pigments and oil paint. These special pieces are in honor of my beautiful mother who also used this vintage batik stamp from Bali in her paintings. Each butterfly is matted, framed in natural wood, and ready to hang.
