In abstract drawings and paintings on paper and panel I express my ideas about reality and its underpinnings, the rotations of solar systems, and the implicit connection of all things in the universe.

I am interested in the interplay of art and science. I prepare for my paintings by spending some time in the night sky of the desert (or distanced from city lights) and by exploring and attempting to understand and then give form to such scientific concepts as gravity and time. Specifically, I attempt to imagine our universe as if I am outside of it and looking at it from a distance. My work is an effort to give form to these hypothetical vistas and concepts.

My creative process includes meditation. I work out images as I see them in my mind’s eye and through direct observation.
