"The Map" A stroll through my thoughts, childhood memories, and the garden of chaos.

Cyanotype, Watercolor - 22"x30" with handcrafted magnetic/wood hanging system.

“There is Chaos in the Garden” is an exploration of the artist’s thoughts, womanhood, childhood memories, gardening, and photography.

Michelle uses cyanotype, an alternative photographic process introduced by Sir John Herschel in 1842, to create her work. She works in multiple layers using the sun, watercolor paper, plants, and occasionally adds acrylic ink and watercolor for a sense of calmness with an underlying layer of chaos.
