"Abundance"

Abundance was the first piece I fabricated for this series. I was thinking about where I would go and mapping out my palette of circles and loops.

This body of work has been in the making for a few years. I was asked to create sculptures that embrace metal for WEND Jewelry. Some friends were also interested in more minimal sculpture and timing was finally right. I am proud to present Line and Shadow-Skeletons at WEND Jewelry.

Wall Sculpture, ready to hang on a nail, horizontally or vertically

Each piece of sculpture can be displayed as shown or may nestle with a companion piece. Horizontal and vertical both work well. The pieces are light weight and can be hung from a single nail or screw.

Rickie Wolfe lives, works, and teaches in Seattle, Washington where she has a studio practice in printmaking and sculpture.

Wolfe received her BFA from Cornish College of the Arts. She was awarded the PONCHO Artist-in-Residence Grant at Pratt Fine Arts Center for 2010-2011. Her largest piece of work to date is a wall mounted sculpture commissioned in 2018 for the lobby of a new Hilton Hotel in the Nashville area. In addition to inclusion in numerous group shows, she has had solo exhibits at IMA in Seattle and Fresh Paint Art in Los Angeles, California.

Wolfe is currently the Coordinator for the Print Department at Pratt Fine Arts Center where each session she also teaches printmaking and collage. She continues to accept challenging commissions, and recently completed a custom piece for an East Coast residence.
